Yankee Magazine’s food editor, Amy Traverso joined The Rhode Show on Monday to talk more about the special holiday issue which includes its second annual food awards winners.
This year’s winners include tender smoked bluefish made by Fox Smoked Fish in Narragansett, and earthy aged goat cheese from Twig Farm in West Cornwall, Vermont. This year’s list covers all six New England states and eight different food categories.
The trick to narrowing down this year’s winners? According to Amy, it’s simple. “We taste, we compare, and when a product makes our eyes light up, we put in on the short list.”
