1/4 cup (60 mL) butter
1 tsp (5 mL) ground cinnamon
1 tsp (5 mL) ground nutmeg
1/8 tsp (0.5 mL) cayenne powder
3 tbsp (45 mL) maple syrup
2 cups (500 mL) whole almonds
1 tsp (5 mL) sea salt
Preheat oven to 350 F (175 C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Remove from heat. Add cinnamon, nutmeg, pepper and maple syrup. Mix well. Add almonds. Stir gently until well coated in butter mixture. Spread nuts on baking sheet and bake until golden brown, about 15 minutes. Season with salt.
