The Bojon Gourmet is giving away a Dark Robust bottle of Tonewood maple syrup (250ml) on their blog. The recent post features a Chomeur....my absolute favourite maple-inspired dessert...that I make all the time (I actually have one in my freezer right now). This is an old Quebecois recipe and means 'poor man's pudding' which is a bit funny in contemporary times as it is doused in maple syrup and heavy cream....which were plentiful to farmers many years ago.
The blog is also featuring Katie Webster's new MAPLE cookbook - we sell it on the Tonewood website:

We actually went and taeppd some trees one year to collect some maple sap. Not for real, it was a thing at a park by Stillwater. It’s amazing how much sap and effort it takes to just make a little real maple syrup. Made me realize why the cost is so high for it.
recipe looks great….have the darker Italian style chestnut flour, so will try with that……interesting that you have in the freezer….might taste food frozen too!!
would love to win the cookbook……have a great old Saveur magazine issue of recipes from Montreal….and the maple walnut squares recipe has replaced pecan pie for my Thanksgiving table……can also keep in the freezer! Think it would be great with your dark Tonewood syrup….and also uses granulated maple sugar……
